10月9日午后6:30出生于英国利物浦，John Lennon 结束他为期五年的休息开始录制休息五年后的第一张专辑，并且接受一些访谈在他再一次活跃于音乐界之前，令人惋惜的悲剧在1980年12月8日晚上10:45左右发生，和 Yoko Ono 一起录音回来的 John Lennon ，在他公寓 (The Dakota) 门前被 David Mark Chapman 射杀，John Lennon 马上被送往医院，但在11:15PM 尚未到达医院时就宣告死亡，结束了他传奇风光的一生，造成了许多歌迷心碎，也注定 The Beatles 再也不能复合了。
