这位在莫斯科出生，纽约长大的俄裔女孩，从小学习钢琴，受到许多古典作曲家影响。到目前为止已经出了三张专辑，以钢琴为基础，配上歌声，以及简单的编曲，就是Regina Spektor。在学生时代，受到许多歌手、同儕的影响，成为了anti-folk反民谣的的一员，不用吉他，反而用传统的钢琴打造出她的音乐世界。她创作的歌曲里融合了古典乐以及流行乐，全面展露了她特殊的风格。
