David Davidson出生在一个音乐家庭，后来生活在佛罗里达。5岁时开始学习钢琴，9岁时学习小提琴。后来受到佛罗里达州立大学的小提琴奖学金，并在19岁时开始了自己的小提琴职业生涯，作为一名古典音乐家他在杰克森维尔交响乐团演出了4年。1983年，他开时了非古典音乐的录音，他与很多知名的流行，摇滚和其他类型的音乐家合作，在很多重要场合演唱。并发行了自己的专辑。2002年发行了专辑。
