Tina Turner原名Anna Mae Bullock，1939年11月26日出生于美国的田纳西州。自幼家境贫困，很小的时候就要开始在家里的棉花田里干活。但是，这并没有妨碍她展露自己的歌唱才华。 50年代，Tina与Chess音乐厂牌著名乐师出身的Ike Turner因音乐而结缘，60年代，两人正式组成Ike & Tina Turner，以"River Deep Mountain High"等节奏蓝调灵魂曲风歌曲在英国乐界崭露头角，还应邀担任The Rolling Stones演唱会的开场艺人。
